Introduction: We are a family from Reno who enjoys coming to Graeagle, California so much we decided to lay some roots here. And now we are thrilled to introduce ourselves as the newest vacation rental! It took a while to find the right spot to fix up and call our own. We closed on our place right at the new year and got busy trying to do some upgrades that would make it more comfortable and functional. We weathered through many snow storms to get everything ready by springtime and before the golf courses opened. There were times we thought we would get snowed in or flooded, and it would be iffy if we could make our goal. Luckily our wonderful neighbors and HOA put sandbags in front of our garage and kept us in the loop about the rising river conditions, but it never went over the banks. We even got a call from our flood insurance agent to make sure our place was dry! Thanks to our own parents, my very handy husband, Accent Countertops, Rene from Interior Finishes, Home Depot, and many trips to Graeagle, we are finally ready to share our pride in the mountains.
We went with the golf theme for several reasons- one being that the previous owners very generously left their decor at the house, and we wanted to incorporate the vintage golf vibe throughout. We even discovered a cool poster of Ben Hogan, that we decided to hang in the center of the main room. You’ll also find a Masters Tournament theme in the downstairs primary bedroom that adds some Augusta flare. We hope that when you enter you feel welcomed and inspired to take advantage of all the golf and outdoor activities that Graeagle has to offer.
